Social Responsibility

Social Responsibility

Our social responsibility focus is the continuous development and well-being of our people and creating an environment conducive within which to thrive and champion our deliberate Corporate Social Investment (CSI) interventions to:

  • Reduce poverty
  • Increase employment opportunities
  • Promote financial literacy
  • Improve health and well-being
  • Improve access to quality education

The Fund’s approach to CSI will be mainly three-fold and will underpin the CSI strategy of the Fund as follows:

Building partnerships

  • Considerable CSI activities require collaboration and partnership with local institutions and communities
  • Credible partnership is now seen as a prerequisite, whereby each partner has a specific role in the implementation of a given CSI activity

Good corporate citizenship

  • This is premised on the view that organisations have a role to play in the sustainable development and well-being of the community in which they do business, by taking responsibility for their actions

Corporate philanthropy

  • A more common approach of CSI, the Fund will from time to time give back to the community in the form of ad hoc donations that meet particular, officially agreed criteria
  • The Fund prides itself in being a good corporate citizen and socially responsible, through several social and community initiatives
